Many of us stepped out on the dance floor for the first time not knowing another soul in the room and this can be a very intimidating thing, but with dancers it doesn't take long to make friends some that will last a lifetime. That's what River City Swing is about, a group of people that come together to dance, see old friends and make new ones. River City Swing is only possible with all the help and support from so many.
In 1994 I made that step out on the dance floor, it wasn't long before I had made friends and I continue to make new ones. Candy and I met and fell in love on the dance floor and we will never stop dancing.
So to all that shared a new pattern, introduced a new dancer, or just a moment in conversation and also, for those three and half minutes on the floor that bonds us all into a community of dancers we say,
